Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa. Transfer to the chosen hotel. Have a free morning. Afternoon (1400 hrs from the hotel) tour of the capital: visit Entoto Mountain with views over the capital, the National museum, St George church and the Mercato, biggest open air market in Africa. Meals free. ON (overnight) hotel
Day 2: Fly to Bahirdar. Morning drive to visit the Blue Nile falls (it takes about 1 hour drive and then 15 minutes walk). Admire these spectacular falls. Afternoon make a boat excursion on lake Tana to visit the monasteries over its islands, as Ura Kidane Mehret and Asua Mariam. Meals & ON hotel in Bahirdar.
Day 3: Morning drive to Gondar. It takes about 2 hrs driving, visit on the way very nice landscapes, lake Tana and Amhara people villages. Afternoon visit the castles, King Fasiladas bath, the Debre Birhan Selasie church (light of Trinity) with wonderful murals and Empress Mentewab palace. Meals & ON hotel in Gondar.
Day 4: Drive to the Semien mountains, for a very interesting full day excursion: admire spectacular views and with the chance to spot endemic animals as the Lammergeyer, the Gelada baboons, the Walya Ibex and more. Lunch box; dinner and ON Semien lodge or Limalimo lodge in the Semien National park.
Day 5: After some over visits of the Semien mountains, drive to Axum, admiring very nice views over the Semien mountains and visiting Tigray people villages and culture.

Day 6: Full day in Axum. Visit the steles, St Mary of Tsion church (where legend says the Ark of Covenant is deposited), the bath & palace of Queen of Sheba & more. Have your meals & ON hotel
Day 7: Drive to Asmara, the UNESCO heritage capital of Eritrea, admiring very nice views. Lunch on the way; dinner and ON hotel
Day 8: Full day guided tour of the city of Asmara, will be visited the Catholic and Coptic cathedrals, the mosque, the market, the Caravanserraglio, the Italian cemetery, the National Museum. Meals & ON hotel
Day 9: Excursion on board the legendary train, pulled by locomotives “Mallet” (subject to availability). In the afternoon drive to the lively city of Keren (1,392 Mt. high), crossroad between the highland and the lowland and well-known for its silver filigree works. Visit the silver market and the very nice town. Lunch box (or in Asmara); dinner & ON hotel in Keren.
Day 11 & 12: Departure to Massawa and start a cruise boarding a fast boat, for next three days. You will settle a home camp in one of the island, and will visit one or teo more island every day. Lot of time free at leisure at the beach, snorkelling, fishing. Overnight stay in mobile tented camp, full board including 4 pcs local drinks per pax per day.
Day 13: Excursion to Dekamerè and Segheneyti (Sycamores Valley), where we could appreciate the extraordinary dimensions of secular sycamores that lop up in the valley, we will come up till Adi Keyh and Kohaito, where we’ll admire the ruins of the ancient Axumite cities of Coloe and the prehistoric graffiti of Cutublè Galbà Senafè (city remains axumita of Metara). Return to Asmara in the late afternoon. Lunch on the way; dinner & ON hotel
Day 14: Drive to Adi Ugri, Adi Quala and Daaro Khonat (sightseeing tour of the city, Enda Mariam Tzion Coptic church, among the best church in Eritrea, Saint Rita catholic church in Adi Quala in which is located the plaque in memory of the dead of Nova Scotia, the Memorial to the Adua Fallen, from which you enjoys a splendid view of Mareb valley) . Return to Asmara in the late afternoon. Lunch on the way; dinner & ON hotel
Day 15: Drive back to Ethiopia and proceed to Wikro or Hawsen. On the way visit a church, as Wikro Cherkos church.Lunch on the way. Dinner & ON lodge
Day 16: Full day visit of the very interesting Tigray region churches, with also spectacular views. Visit Micael Imba, Debre Selam Atsbi and Micael Barka churches. (otherwise can also be Abreha Atsbeha, Degum Selassie and TecleHaimanot Hawsen) Lunch on the way. Dinner at a traditional restaurant in town ON hotel in Mekele
Day 17: Drive to Lalibela, visiting on the way the very interesting church of Yemerehenna Kristos. Reach Lalibela late afternoon. Lunch on the way; dinner & ON hotel
Day 18: Full day visit of the rock-hewn churches in Lalibela, defined as the 8th wonder in the world. Churches built in the 12th century; the African Jerusalem. And late afternoon take part of the coffee ceremony in a traditional house or the hotel. Meals & ON at your hotel
Day 19: Fly to Addis Ababa; have your free afternoon for shopping, souvenir shops and relax. We offer a visit at artist Vittorio Morello show room too. Lunch free. Dinner invited in a traditional restaurant with folkloristic dances. Then transfer to the airport for departure
